The
Fishoxon website has been set up to predominatly promote the
pleasurable pasttime of Angling in the scenic county of Oxfordshire.
The fishermen and woman of Oxfordshire are blessed with such
a variety of different prolific fisheries to choose from,
so much so that a group of like minded friends and I, over
a drink one evening decided to start 'The Fishoxon Challenge'.
 As
well as having prolific waters we in Oxfordshire are also
spoilt by the number of species of fish for us anglers to
catch. The challenge we decided to set ourselves is to catch
30 different species of fish in 30 different locations around
Oxfordshire, inspired by Matt Hayes & Mick Brown's 'Great
Rod Race', although as work and young families get in the
way we couldn't afford to spend 30 days straight on various
bankside locations like Matt and Mick so will do it over the
course of the next season or so.
We will keep 'The Fishoxon Challenge Diary 'blog' running
so those who are interesed can follow our progress.
